How do we protect patient safety and high standards of care as New Mexico’s health care system continues to evolve?
Join GAMA President Dr. Gabrielle Adams, President-Elect Dr. Mark Epstein, and GAMA leadership for the second conversation in our GAMA Policy Roadmap Series, focused on QUALITY.
GAMA’s Quality pillar centers on patient safety, physician-led team-based care, professional standards, accountability, and transparency regarding the education, training, licensure, and qualifications of health care professionals. Its signature priorities include an evidence-based Scope of Practice Review Committee, title transparency, and strengthening the capacity and due-process functions of the New Mexico Medical Board.
The first 20–25 minutes will provide an overview of GAMA’s goals and policy priorities. The remainder of the one-hour session will be devoted to member discussion about the challenges physicians are seeing, the principles that should guide future policy, and opportunities for physicians to become more engaged.
We want to hear from you. What are you seeing in your practice? Where are the greatest patient-safety concerns? And what do policymakers need to better understand about physician-led care?
Member experiences and expertise will be critical as GAMA advances this work.
