Dr. Amy Garcia is a New Mexico native who received her undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of New Mexico. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Illinois in Chicago (UIC) and remained at UIC to complete a fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS), becoming one of the first graduating fellows of that specialized program. Since 2003, she has been in private practice in New Mexico and is currently the only fellowship-trained MIGS surgeon in private practice in the state. Her clinical focus is on office-based hysteroscopy for the evaluation and treatment of abnormal uterine bleeding, postmenopausal bleeding, and IUD-related complications, including placement and removal. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Garcia teaches hysteroscopic techniques to gynecologists nationally and internationally. 

She does not provide routine preventive gynecologic care, annual exams, or obstetric services.
